Résumé

Strategy of social and economic development of the North Caucasian Federal District until 2025 is a regional cross-sectoral policy document, which determines the main directions, methods and means of achieving the strategic goals of sustainable development and ensuring national security of the Russian Federation for the period until 2020. The main goal of the Strategy is to provide conditions for the accelerated development of the real sector of the economy in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation that are part of the North Caucasus Federal District, create new jobs, and also to improve the living standards of the population. Actually rural unemployment is significantly higher than urban unemployment. Key areas of labor market development envisage stimulating the creation of new jobs, including in the field of small and medium-sized businesses. According to the results of the analysis, a promising direction for development in the North Caucasus Federal District is the production of the following types of products: (a) lamb, beef and their processed products; (b) poultry and its processed products; (c) milk and dairy products, including cheeses, cottage cheese, yoghurts, etc .; (d) oil and butter; (e) grain and flour and cereal products; (f) grapes, wines and cognac products; (g) fruits and berries (fresh, as well as juices and mashed potatoes); (h) fresh and canned vegetables; (i) mineral water; and (j) sugar.
