Résumé

Veterinary and sanitary rules establishing animal health requirements governing the production, processing, marketing and import of certain animal products destined for human consumption (Annex 1) has as its purpose preventing the introduction or spread of animal diseases, preventing the introduction of poor quality animal products to the market. This regulation also contains general requirements, in particular, restrictions applied when importing to the market products originating from facilities or regions infected with epizootic diseases, and obligations to put products originating from regulated regions to treatment for the purpose of destruction of pathogenic carrier. Veterinary and sanitary rules establishing certain fundamental principles of organization of veterinary and sanitary inspections during import and trade of animal products (Annex 2) will permit to expose to veterinary and sanitary inspection products of animal origin helping to prevent the spread of infectious diseases in animals while protecting product stocks and market stability, at the same time ensuring harmonization of measures needed to ensure protection of animal health and public health. Veterinary and sanitary rules establishing the frequency of physical inspections applicable to certain imported lots of animal products (Annex 3) set forth general rules for the application of control at points of veterinary and sanitary control organized at Customs points, because when the control determines that the products do not meet the necessary requirements or represent any other violation, the employees of the points of veterinary and sanitary control organized at Customs points are obliged to inform about it Agency for Veterinary Sanitation and Safety of Animal Products. Veterinary and sanitary rules establishing procedures for the implementation of veterinary and sanitary inspections for the purposes of import of animal products at the points of veterinary and sanitary control organized at customs points (Annex 4) establishes procedures for veterinary and sanitary inspections at the points of veterinary and sanitary control, organized at customs points, in order to ensure normal operation of the system of veterinary and sanitary inspections in the domestic market.
