This Governmental Decree enters into force on the day of its first official publication.
Résumé

This Governmental Decree establishes the procedure for the disposal and destruction of food products that represent a danger to life and health of humans, animals, and the environment. Dangerous food products shall be intended foodstuffs that, when used, may lead to an unacceptable risk to human life and health and the environment. Destruction of dangerous foodstuffs shall be intended impact on food products that are unfit for consumption and (or) further processing, excluding use thereof for nutritional purposes and access thereto by humans and animals. Recycling of food products shall be intended technological processing of foodstuffs unsuitable for use for the intended purpose, into other food products. Food products that pose a danger to life and health of humans, animals, and the environment shall be intended products that: (a) do not meet safety requirements established by sanitary and epidemiological rules and regulations, hygienic standards, and veterinary (veterinary and sanitary) regulations and veterinary regulations; (b) having obvious signs of poor quality (spoilage, decomposition, contamination); (c) not having documents of the manufacturer (supplier) of food products, confirming its origin, safety, issued in the prescribed manner; (d) properties that do not correspond to this type and category of food products; (e) labelling that does not meet the requirements of regulatory and technical documentation; (f) with an unspecified expiration date for food products for which such a period should be established, or with an expired expiration date; and (g) falsified food products. If, according to the results of the examination, the state body issued a conclusion on the possibility of using food products after their re-processing in compliance with certain requirements and technologies, such food products should be recycled.
