The Regulation defines: quarantine of animal, fish and plants; supervision and control over: food security, food quality, feed safety and quality, genetically modified products, genetic resources, biological agents, invasive foreign species, plants and wild animals, endangered plants and animals; categories and groups of animal disease, plant pest and disease, fish disease; animal products; plant products; fish products; food additives and any other materials used in the preparation, processing, and manufacture of food and drinks; feed additives; quarantine area; import and export of species. The general measures of this Regulation include: adequate level of protection and risk assessment and management; determination of special entry and exit point for trade in species; governmental officials and human resources to implement quarantine measures; quarantine facilities; implementation of quarantine measures and risk categories; general and special monitoring on the spread of pests and diseases; sustainability of fish resources; protection of the environment; level of risk to the human health; transportation of animal and plant products and related administrative sanctions.
