This Government Decree enters into force after its official publication.

Résumé

This Regulation defines the activities, powers, tasks, responsibilities and relevant rules of the Automated Information System “State Register of Animals” related to the identification and registration of species, animals, as well as the registration of their movements and events in order to establish the principle of traceability of living animals. Identification application shall be intended an application submitted by the owner of animals to the territorial food safety units of the National Food Safety Agency for the identification and registration of animals. Application for movement shall be intended an application submitted by the animal owner to the territorial food safety units of the National Food Safety Agency for registration of movements of animals in the State Register of Animals. Application for event registration shall be intended an application submitted by the owner of the animal to the territorial food safety units of the National Food Safety Agency for registration in the State Register of Animals of such events as: traditional slaughter, industrial slaughter, death, disappearance of animals, loss of tags, loss of certificate, finding of an animal, change of owner. Animals identified by other means of identification not compatible with the State Register of Animals not administered by the National Food Safety Agency are not considered identified. The National Food Safety Agency: (a) controls the entry of data into the State Register of Animals by territorial operators; (b) provides means of identification and manages their issuance in the database; and (c) suspends, closes, assigns or changes the status of an object in the State Register of animals in accordance with the provisions of this Regulation.
