The Act provides for the licensing procedures aimed at hunting wild animals and birds, the establishment of game sanctuaries. In addition, the Act creates and establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the Wild Life Preservation Officer, Game Wardens and other Game Officers, Wild Life Protection Officer, Forest Officer or Police Officer to control people who cannot hunt any wild animal or wild bird except under a licence granted and in accordance with the conditions specified in such licence. Offence and penalties are appended for illegal activities and for non complying with the licensing requirements and for breaching any other provisions of the Act.
