Résumé

This Act establishes the Ghana Maritime Security Authority, defines its functions and powers, provides with respect to the administration of the Authority and provides rules relative various matters regarding ships and navigation. The Act provides a framework for the compliance with the International Management Code for the Safe Operation of Ships and for Pollution Prevention. It also refers to operations of oil tankers. In respect of each ship to which this Act applies, a security assessment shall be conducted and a security plan developed and implemented.
