Résumé This Act aims at extending the right of access to information in the possession of public. It lays down provisions on the publication of certain documents and information, such as information concerning functions, etc., of public authorities; access procedures which do not apply to certain documents; application to the relevant public authority for access to the document and its evaluation; documents exempted for security reasons, public interests, trade secrets and personal privacy etc.; protection against action for defamation, breach of confidence or infringement of copyright; and preservation of records and documents by the public authority.
