The Conservator of Forests shall grant a licence on the basis of conditions defined in regulation 4. Regulations 5 to 9 concern term, renewal, refusal and revocation of licence. The Conservator may appoint a Timber Preservation Committee and make use of other powers assigned to him/her under regulation 10 for purposes of controlling and regulating preservative treatment. Section 13 defines polluting of land or water with chemicals as an offence. Nothing in these Regulations affects operation of small sawmills without preservative treatment.
