Part 1 deals with definitions, Part 2 deals with Personnel and equipment. Section 4 outlines the duties of the firewatcher, that is, a person at a worksite who provides surveillance for forest fires. The rest of this part details the; Fire fighting tools and water delivery systems. Part 3 deals with fire prevention mechanisms. Part 4 outlines stipulations on open fires in or within 1 km of a forest. It is divided in to 5 divisions; Division 1 deals with scope and open fires for cooking, warmth and ceremony. Division 2 outlines provisions concerning small open fires. Division 3 deals with large open fires. Division 4 highlights resource management open fires. Finally Division 5 contains miscellaneous provisions. Part 5 goes in to specific detail in relation to railways. Part 6 outlines forest protection measures. This part is further divided in to 3 divisions, dealing with; planning for protection operations, fire hazard assessment and abatement and initial fire suppression and site rehabilitation.
