Résumé

The Order contains emergency prohibitions restricting various activities in order to prevent human consumption of food rendered unsuitable for that purpose by virtue of fish having been affected by oil and other chemical pollutants. The principal Order; (a) designated a specified area of sea around the Shetland for the purposes of Part I of the Food and Environment Protection Act 1985 (art. 3); (b) prohibited fishing for or taking fish within that area (art.4); (c) prohibited the movement of fish out of that area (art. 5); (d) imposed restrictions throughout the United Kingdom in relation to the use of any fish taken from that area (art. 6).
