Résumé

This Regulation implements the Fisheries Act (Saskatchewan). It consists of 94 sections divided into 11 Parts. Part 2 contains general provisions on licensing, including fees, terms and conditions, expiring and renewal. Part 3 is dedicated to angling, Part 4 to commercial fishing, Part 5 to subsistence fishing, Part 6 to bait fishing, Part 7 to dip net fishing and Part 8 to aquaculture. All these activities are subject to licensing. The Regulation contains provisions on fish incidentally taken during commercial fishing activities, which should be released alive in the waters from which it was taken (sect. 33) and prohibits the release of fish in the wild from aquaculture operations (sect. 47). Part 9 is dedicated to the marketing of fish and fish products and includes provision on processing, tagging, transportation and packaging, as well as on importation of fish. The Appendix includes a table on licence fees and delimitates fishing zones.
