Regulation 2 prohibits the use of explosives and poison for the catching of fish and Regulation 3 prescribes a permit for the use of seine nets in rivers in the form set out in the Third Schedule. No person shall import into or export out of Ghana any live fish except under and in accordance with terms of a permit issued by the Licensing Officer. The permit shall be subject to such conditions as the Licensing Officer may think necessary or expedient and shall be in the form set out in the Fourth Schedule (reg. 6). Regulations 4, 5 and 7 make provision for the use and import of fishing nets with respect to mesh size. Regulations 8, 9, 10 and 11 provide for seaworthiness, lights and equipments for small and motor vessels.
