Résumé

This Subpart of Part 660 of Title 50 of the Federal Code of Regulations implements partly the Pacific Coast Groundfish Fishery Management Plan (PCGFMP) developed by the Pacific Fishery Management Council. It regulates groundfish limited entry fixed gear fishery for fishing vessels of the U.S. in the EEZ off the coasts of Washington, Oregon, and California. Limited entry fixed gear fishery means the fishery composed of vessels registered to limited entry permits with longline and pot/trap endorsements. Groundfish means species managed by the PCGFMP, including sharks. The Pacific Coast Groundfish Limited Entry Permit (LEP) authorizes the holder to participate in the federal limited entry groundfish fishery in waters off of Washington, Oregon, and California. The Regulations place various obligations and restrictions of fixed gear fishery of the U.S. Pacific coast. Regulated matters include: authorizations, recording and reporting, observes on board, use of gear, landing of fish. Specific rules apply to fishing for various species.
