Résumé This notice is made under regulation 23 of the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999. This notice relates to the mātaitai reserves at Kaihoka Point and Anatori, which are on the upper West Coast of the South Island. The tangata whenua of the area that includes the mātaitai reserves are represented by Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Rārua. Notice is given of: the cancellation of the appointment of a Tangata Tiaki/Kaitiaki for the mātaitai reserves; and the replacement appointment of a Tangata Tiaki/Kaitiaki for the mātaitai reserves. The Minister of Fisheries cancelled the appointment and made the replacement appointment at the request of Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Rārua. The powers of Tāngata Tiaki/Kaitiaki are set out in the regulations.
