Résumé This notice is made under the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999. The notice relates to a customary food gathering area/rohe moana of the tangata whenua represented by Wairewa Rūnanga. The area/rohe moana is on Banks Peninsula, from the Hakatere River to Ounu Hau Point, but excluding Te Waihora (Lake Ellesmere) and Lake Forsyth. Notice is given of the reappointment of 3 Tāngata Tiaki/Kaitiaki for the area/rohe moana. The Minister of Fisheries made the reappointments at the request of Wairewa Rūnanga. The powers of Tāngata Tiaki/Kaitiaki are set out in the regulations.
