Except as provided in §665.934, fishing is prohibited in all no-take Marine Protected Areas as specified. Regulations concern, among other things, permits for the fishing for bottomfish, various prohibitions, gear restrictions, at-sea observer coverage. They also concern coral reef ecosystem fisheries (including fishing for specified shark species) and designate a management area for a specific management regime. Management measures include restrictions of use of gear, compliance with the Fishery Ecosystem Plan (FEP) and related permitting.
