Résumé

The Regulations restrict demersal trawling for fish and shrimp in defined territorial waters. Subject to these Regulations, demersal (bottom) trawling for fish or shrimp is permitted in the territorial waters of the North Coast at a distance outside off two nautical miles from that coast defined in the Schedule (reg. 4). Regulation 5 allows demersal trawling for shrimp in territorial waters off the South Coast, at a distance outside of two nautical miles from that coast. Regulation 6 restricts trawling with non-artisanal trawlers in the Gulf of Paria. Demersal trawling within one nautical mile of the coast is prohibited within the Gulf of Pariah. Restrictions are placed on fishing with vessels of a specified engine size. The Regulations shall not apply to authorized training and research activities. (9 regulations and Schedule)
