The Part does not apply to activities governed under Division 12. This Chapter of Division 6 sets out general provisions applying to commercial fishing in California. It concerns, among other things, legislative procedures, salmon fishing representation on the Pacific Fishery Management Council, powers of the Fish and Game Commission, general fishing rules, commercial fishing licenses, the Commercial Salmon Trollers Enhancement and Restoration Program, commercial fishing vessel registration, commercial passenger fishing boat licenses, reporting, restrictions of shark fishing, commercial fish business licenses, landing taxes, a permit to take and use fish by a reduction or extraction process, limited entry fishing, far offshore fishing, high seas interception of salmon and the Commercial Fisheries Capacity Reduction Program.
