It places restrictions on hunting gear and methods and requires cold storage plants and frozen food locker plants to make and keep a complete detailed record of all game birds or mammals stored in such plants. A record of each game bird or mammal shall be made at the time it is received at the plant for storage. The Chapter also allows the Department of Fish and Game, in conformity with such regulations as the Fish and Game Commission may prescribe, to issue special Colorado River hunting licenses when the Commission finds and determines that under the laws of the State of Arizona substantially similar licenses are authorized to be issued to licensees of the State of California upon substantially the same terms and conditions as are provided for in this article as to the issuance of licenses to licensees of the State of Arizona. A 2015 amendment requires the Commission to recommend legislation or adopt regulations to clarify when a possession limit is not violated by processing into food lawfully taken game birds or mammals.
