Résumé The present Regulations enact subsection 25(3) of the First Nations Land Management Act. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the establishment of a Land Registry for first nations. Section 2 establishes that the Register shall be maintained in an office located in the National Capital Region to be known as the First Nations Land Registry. The text - consisting of 34 sections – deals with the following matters: abstracts, application to register or record documents, grounds for refusing registration or recording, registration or recording of documents, effect of registration and transition to priority system.
