Fertilizers and animal feed shall be approved under this Act and only approved fertilizer and feed may be placed on the market. Fertilizer or feed shall be conform to standards or specifications prescribed by Rules made under this Act. Certain fertilizer and feed from animal origin shall only be imported with a certificate regarding sterilization from the country of origin. The Act prescribes the requirement of a licence and conditions for sterilizing of fertilizer and feed of animal origin. Other provisions of this Act concern inspection and analyses and regulation-making powers of the Minister.
