The Law shall enter into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Résumé

This Law is composed of 4 Sections divided into 26 articles. Terms (and definitions (art. 1). Section I decrees the establishment of the Federal Committee for the Environment and defines its objectives which are to : formulate laws, rules and regulations for environmental protection; propose a plan and the general policy for the environmental protection; study the pollution and environmental impact assessment and the compatibility between development and environment; study and research on water, marine, soil and air pollution, protection of natural resources, animals and plants; development of protected areas; study soil, water and energy; study the development and protection of coastal zones and marine areas; inform and educate on environment disasters facing. Competencies of the Board of Directors are dealt with in Section II. Financial affairs is provided for in Section III. General provisions are contained in Section IV.
