Résumé The purpose of the present Act is to regulate expropriation proceedings. In determining the compensation or damages the arbitrator shall take into consideration the increased value that will be given to any lands of the opposite party by reason of the construction and maintenance of authorized works, and shall set off the increased value against the inconvenience, loss or damage that might be suffered or sustained by reason of the applicant taking possession of the said land. Furthermore, the text deals with, amongst others, matters such as costs of arbitrations, proceedings of arbitrator, impeaching award, paying of money into court, right of application to take possession, proceedings in case of resistance, vesting of title.
