The Order also applies the Environment Agency's powers under sections 108 to 110 of the Environment Act 1995 to the Isles of Scilly, in so far as those powers relate to functions under Part 2A. This Order also carries into effect, in relation to the Isles of Scilly, articles 48 and 53 of Council Directive 1996/29/Euratom laying down basic safety standards for the protection of the health of workers and the general public against the dangers arising from ionizing radiation.
