Résumé

The present Act provides for the supply of energy within Canada during periods of national emergency caused by shortages or market disturbances affecting the national security and welfare and the economic stability of Canada. An appropriate body is established to be known as the Energy Supplies Allocation Board. The Board shall study and keep under review all matters relevant to a full understanding of the international petroleum supply situation and shall from time to time report to the Minister of Natural Resources. Under section 9, the Board is empowered to pass by-laws necessary for the implementation of this Act. The text consists of 48 sections divided into 4 Parts.
