Résumé The purpose of the present Law is to implement a sustainable energy policy by: a) promoting an environment-friendly supply of energy; b) saving energy; c) using energy sparingly; c) reducing the reliance on single sources of energy; e) implementing federal legislation on energy. Article 1 establishes that renewable energy, such as hydropower, solar energy, geothermal energy, wind energy, energy from biomass and waste shall be particularly encouraged. The text consists of 32 articles divided into 6 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Constructions and facilities (II); Promotion (III); Special provisions (IV); Enforcement (V); Final provisions (VI).
