In particular, the Act shall contribute to an efficient and environment-friendly energy use and energy supply. Moreover, the Act transposes into national legislation the Directive 2004/8/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the promotion of cogeneration based on a useful heat demand in the internal energy market. The text consists of 40 articles divided into 6 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Eligible measures and funding contributions (II); Supply and remuneration of electricity from renewable energies (III); Organization and implementation (IV); Transitional and final provisions (VI).
