Résumé The aim of this Committee is to protect the purity of the Arab horse breed. This Emir Decree is composed of 13 articles. Articles 1 and 2 provide for the establishment of the Committee and define its objectives. Article 3 specifies the competencies and duties of the Committee including: (a) issuance of importation and exportation licences; (b) organization of horse races; and (c) cooperation with the Veterinary Authorities in the protection of purebred Arabian horses. Articles 6 and 7 pertain to the establishment and competencies of the Registration, Vaccination and Reproduction Committee. Articles 8-10 refer to procedures, requirements and conditions for the following matters: (a) affiliation with the High Committee for Arab Horses; (B) recording of Arab horses in the Registration, Vaccination and Reproduction Committee; and (c) exportation of Arab horses.
