Résumé This Act, consisting of 129 sections divided into nine Parts and completed by four Schedules, binds the Crown in right of the Territory and, to the extent the legislative power of the Legislative Assembly permits, the Crown in all its other capacities. Part 2 deals with Emergency plans and specifies the preparation of both regional and local Territory emergency plans. Part 3 establishes Emergency management mechanisms, defining different emergency/disaster situations and special powers during these situations. Part 4 highlights the Emergency management structure, establishing powers and functions of the Territory Controller Coordinator. Part 5 lays down the enforcement authorized officers and Part 6 establishes the compensation for loss. Schedules specify the following matters: Procedures of emergency management bodies; Repealed Acts; Acts amended; and Regulations amended.
