Résumé Electricity Act, 2007 is organized in XIV Parts. Part I concerns regulation of the electricity supply industry, this include different types of licenses (transmission, distribution, generation, system operator, supply, import and export) provisions for hydropower plants, and offence for operating without a license. Part III concerns application for and issuing of license, conditions, transfer, revocation and amendment, non compliance, renewal and expiration of license. Part IV sets duties of licensees. Part VI regulates tendering for new capacities. Part VIII tariffs. Part IX contains measures aimed at promoting access to electricity, in particular in the rural area (Rural Electrification Plan; Rural Access Fund; Rural electrification data base).Part XI and XII concerns dispute resolution and establish a Electricity Dispute Tribunal. Part XIII sets a special regime for acquisition of land when the licensee has to comply with a generation licensee, transmission licensee or a distribution licensee obligation and has failed acquire such land with agreement of the landowner.
