Economic Development Document - Medium Term Development Plan - 2016 to 2020.

This Medium Term Development Plan (MTDP) 2016-2020 sets out development programmes and projects supporting the draft National Development Strategy (NDS) 2016-2035 objectives. The overall Vision and long term Objective of the NDS is to achieve an improvement in the social and economic livelihoods of all Solomon Islanders, through a return to economic growth, by delivering on the following five long-term national objectives: Sustained and inclusive economic growth (1); Poverty alleviated across the whole of the Solomon Islands, basic needs addressed and food security improved; benefits of development more equitably distributed (2); All Solomon Islanders have access to quality social services, including education and health (3); Resilient and environmentally sustainable development with effective disaster risk management (4); Unified nation with stable and effective governance and public order (5).
