Résumé This Directive prescribes the procedure which border veterinary inspectors and veterinary inspectors shall conduct in cases where for technical reasons it is not possible to carry out sampling of imported consignments during the veterinary sanitary inspection of shipments at certain designated border crossings. When the border veterinary inspector in the course of performing veterinary sanitary controls over shipments of products of animal origin, food of animal origin, animal feed, by-products of animal origin and related items, makes a decision that it is necessary to carry out certain laboratory tests, and for technical reasons is not able to carry out the sampling, he will make a report on veterinary sanitary inspection of the shipment, in which he will indicate the required volume of laboratory tests.
