This Directive enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Résumé

This Directive is composed of 32 articles. Articles 1 and 2 deal with terms and definitions. Establishment of nurseries for the production, breeding, of fruit trees, vegetables, ornamental plants and picking flours without previous licences from the Agriculture Departments is prohibited (art. 3). Articles 4 and 5 defines requirements and conditions necessary for the creation of fruit nurseries, ornamental plants, picking flours and vegetables. Seeds used for nurseries shall be registered at the Minister of Agriculture (art. 6). Article 7 lays down requirements and descriptions for vegetable nurseries. Owners of vegetable nurseries shall keep a register for species and kinds of nurseries (art. 8). Article 11 specifies requirements and conditions for expositions and exhibitions of nursery plants. Article 12 defines conditions and requirements for applicants of the aforementioned activities. Article 14 decrees the establishment of a committee for the examination and inspection of lands destined for the creation of nurseries. Articles 15-17 provide for validity and renew of licences and of licence’s fees. Article 21 pertains to the examination, analysis and inspection by specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture. Articles 25-28 lay down conditions for the importation and exportation of nursery plants and planting materials. Article 31 deals with offences and penalties.
