Résumé

This Directive lays down particular amendments to certain Community provisions concerning animal nutrition. Article 1 lays down amendments and several addenda to Directive 95/53/EC which fixes the principles governing the organization of official inspections in the field of animal nutrition. On the basis of new article 4a, Member States shall draw up contingency operational plans. Those plans shall set out measures to be implemented without delay where a product for animal nutrition has been found to pose a serious risk to human health, animal health or to the environment. After article 15 of Directive 95/53/EC, new Section 3a shall be added. This new section contains a safeguard clause allowing the Commission to suspend the putting into circulation of products where a serious risk to human health, animal health or the environment has occurred. Moreover, new Chapter IIIA on information system for hazards from feedingstuffs shall be added after article 16 of Directive 95/53/EC. Lastly, articles 2, 3 and 4 of this Directive amend Directives 70/524/EC, 96/25/EC and 1999/29/EC respectively.
