Résumé This Decree, consisting of 7 Chapters and 2 Annexes, regulates plant and animal protection measures within the State of Tocantins. This Decree specifies hygiene and sanitary requirements to be satisfied by plants and animals, including necessary actions and activities aiming at preventing and avoiding the introduction and dissemination of pests and diseases. In addition, it rules for inspections and controls to be carried out and implementation of protecting measures in order to prevent, control and eradicate pests and diseases affecting plant and animal sanitary conditions within the State will be performed by the Agency ADAPEC-TOCANTINS. Offences and penalties to be paid for illegal activities are appended to the text.
