Article 3 gives a definition of “marketable species” and describes size and other characteristics of such timber. No logging shall take place of marketable timber or potentially marketable timber trees of less than 35 centimetres of diameter. Felling of prohibited species requires a special exemption from the Chief of National Forestry Management (art. 5). The provisions of this Decree shall not apply to one-time exploitation forest or forests to be rejuvenated.
