This Decree enters into force on the day of its publication.
Résumé

This Decree, consisting of 5 articles creates the Committee of the Hydrographical Basin of Paranapanema River, within the State of Paraná and São Paulo. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of this Committee, which is the competent institution for implementing activities aiming at: promoting matters related to water resources use and management, articulating the involvement of all stakeholders in the discussion; managing administrative conflicts related to water resources; approving the Water Resources Plan of the above mentioned basin; implementing this Plan and suggesting necessary provisions to the fulfillment of its goals; proposing to the National Council and to State Councils of Water Resources any matter related to water resources rights, etc.
