Résumé This Decree, composed of 7 articles, institutes the National Park of “Jericoacoara “in the State of Ceará, and redefines the borders of the related Environmental Protection Area. The aim is to protect and preserve the Natural Park’ coastal ecosystem and habitat, granting the preservation of its natural resources and offering controlled opportunities for public use and scientific research. Geographical limits are specified in the text. Control and management shall be under the competence of the Brazilian Institution for Environment and Natural Renewable Resources.
