Résumé Acting President, with a view of improvement of scientific research level and efficiency of geological exploration of subsoil, assigns to Institute of Geology and Geophysics the following functions: (a) fundamental research of subsoil; (b) elaboration of theoretical and methodological bases for complex geological research; and (c) performance of applied research methods for exploration of mineral deposits.
