Résumé

The Cabinet of Ministers decides to organize, according to the standards of the industry, and to start growing productive grape varieties, in order to ensure that the population's needs for quality natural wine products are met, starting from 2023, once every two years the national competition for the nominations "Best grape variety", "Best local grape variety" and "Best wine product". The winners of the competition shall be awarded with cash prizes and other souvenirs allocated by Extra-budgetary funds of the Agency for the Regulation of the Alcohol and Tobacco Market and Winery Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Neighborhood and Nurani Support, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Council of Farmers, Farmers and Homeland Owners of Uzbekistan. The organizing committee is responsible for organizing and conducting the competition at a high level. Performance of the functions of the working body of the organizing committee is entrusted to the Alcohol and Tobacco Market Regulation and Winery Development Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Legal entities that grow grapes and produce wine products take part in the competition. A candidate can participate in only one category. Grape varieties in the nomination "Best grape variety" are evaluated based on the following criteria: (a) attractiveness of the variety; (b) the amount of sugar and acid in the fruit; (c) taste; (d) maturity and productivity; (e) storage periods and transportability; (f) disease and pest resistance; (g) heat and cold tolerance; (h) originality and novelty of the variety; (i) productivity in the cultivated plantation; (j) indicators of the use of the harvested crop; and (k) coefficients of use of special techniques. A score of 1 to 5 points is given for each criterion. Grape varieties in the nomination "Best local grape variety" are evaluated based on the following criteria: (a) to be a local grape variety (autochthonous) that has been cultivated in the territory of the republic for a long time; (b) the amount of sugar and acid in the fruit; (c) taste; (d) maturity and productivity; (e) storage periods and transportability; (f) disease and pest resistance; (g) heat and cold tolerance; (h) productivity in the cultivated plantation; (i) indicators of the use of the harvested crop; and (j) coefficients of use of special techniques. A score of 1 to 5 points is given for each criterion. The "Best wine product" nomination is made in the order of tasting. Tasting procedure, requirements for tasters, room and equipment for tasting, requirements for workplaces, taking product samples for tasting, providing samples for processing organoleptic evaluation results are carried out in accordance with the requirements of regulatory documents in the field of technical regulation.
