It is applicable to milk and dairy products authorized for circulation on the national territory and used for alimentary purposes, including: raw milk - raw materials, skim milk (raw and thermally processed) - raw materials, cream (raw and thermally processed) - raw materials; dairy products; processes of manufacturing, storage, transportation, trade and disposal of milk and dairy products; functional components necessary for the manufacturing of milk processed products. It shall not be applicable to milk and dairy products processed by individuals for personal use without the intention of its subsequent vending; culinary and confectionery products, foodstuffs and biologically active additives, medicines, animal feeds, non-alimentary products manufactured with the use of or based on milk and dairy products. Ecological safety requirements shall be applicable to machinery and equipment used for manufacturing of milk and dairy products, and also to technological processes and production methods. This General Technical Regulation establishes also requirements for labelling, transport and storage of milk and dairy products.
