Notwithstanding the prohibition, vessels of Norway with a purse seine licence may catch 48.611 tons of capelin in the Fisheries zone of Jan Mayen, and in areas of the Fisheries Zones of Greenland and the EEZ of Iceland north of 64° 30 N. Of this amount 30.671 tons may be caught in the EEZ of Iceland. The Fisheries Directorate may order a stop on fishing once the maximum allowable catch is reached. Remaining provisions concern bycatch, individual catch quotas for vessels (900 tons), blocking of fishing areas, transshipment of fish, reporting, sailing dates and prohibition of sailing, and offences.
