Résumé This Decree approves the Regulation for Plant Health Protection in the State of Mato Grosso. This Regulation, consisting of 11 Chapters, establishes that the Secretariat of State for Rural Development (SEDER), through the Agricultural Protection Agency of the State of Mato Grosso (INDEA-MT), is the competent authority to comply with the provisions of these Regulations and apply legal penalties. The INDEA-MT may request the cooperation of the State Department of Finance (SEFAZ), through its collection and inspection bodies and the Civil Judicial Police, Military Police and Public Prosecutor through cooperation agreement. The prevention and control are carried out through the following activities: educational campaign; inspection of plants and plant products; plant quarantine; plant health surveillance; trade and transit control of plants and plant products; adoption of phytosanitary measures for quarantine officially controlled by the State of Mato Grosso; other measures to prevent and control necessary for Plant Health Protection, specified through Normative Act of SEDER or INDEA-MT.
