Résumé

This Decree applies to vessels of under 28 meters of total length that are under a regime of restricted access pursuant to section 21 of Act No. 15 of 1999 relative to participation in fishery. It also applies in specified circumstances to vessels longer than 28 meters (art. 1). The Decree aims, through special rules relative to vessel fishing quotas for vessels to which the Decree applies at contributing to a rational management of coastal fishery. It provides for the exchange of quotas and the assignment of structural quotas, i.e. a kind of transferable quotas.
