Résumé

Prostyr biosphere reserve shall be allotted the area of 3440 hectares and shall have as its purpose the conservation in its natural state the natural marsh and meadow grounds with rich flora and fauna, including protected animals and protected plants of Belarusian. The following activities shall be prohibited on the territory of Prostyr biosphere reserve: 1) land reclamation and any other activity causing change of landscape and the existing hydrological regime; 2) damage and annihilation of shrubbery and forest plantations and disturbance of soil; 3) burning out dry vegetation; 4) grazing and transhumance; 5) discharge of sewage and waste disposal in water bodies; 6) clearing of riverside natural growth except for recreational areas; 7) extraction of peat and sapropel; 8) setting up tourist camps; 9) hunting of fur-bearing and hoofed animals, and also spring hunting of waterfowl. The proclamation of Prostyr biosphere reserve shall not entail the expropriation of land. The regional executive bodies shall be the managing authority of Prostyr biosphere reserve. The damages caused to Prostyr biosphere reserve shall be compensated by the legal and natural persons in conformity with the modalities established by law.
