This Decree enters into force on the date of its publication.
Résumé

This Decree provides for the National Council for Industrial Development (CNDI). The CNDI aims at proposing to the President of the Republic national policies and specific measures aimed at promoting the country's industrial development. The CNDI is responsible for: proposing the industrial policy and its revisions; approving the guidelines for the implementation of the industrial policy; making suggestions on medium and long-term planning for the country's industrial development; considering proposals to increase the resilience of national productive chains and the technological and innovative capacity of the Brazilian productive sector; proposing the promotion and development of the green economy and decarbonization strategies for the country's productive sectors; giving opinion on strategies and guidelines for policies aimed at increasing the productivity and competitiveness of domestic industry and improving the country's business environment; proposing guidelines for policies to encourage micro and small industrial companies; proposing] the creation and improvement of instruments for industrial development, such as financing, guarantees, State purchasing power and technology transfer; proposing increasing the digital transformation of the country's industrial park, including the development of information and communications technology services; proposing the improvement of public policies that have an impact on industrial development; etc.
