Résumé

This Decree establishes the National Council for the Rights of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transvestite, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual and other People (CNLGBTQIA+) under the Ministry of Human Rights and Citizenship. The CNLGBTQIA+ aims to collaborate in the formulation of actions, guidelines and measures regarding lesbian, gay, bisexual, transvestite, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual and other people - LGBTQIA+. The CNLGBTQIA+ is responsible for: collaborating with the National Secretariat for the Rights of LGBTQIA+ People of the Ministry of Human Rights and Citizenship in elaborating criteria and parameters for governmental actions, at sectoral and cross-sectional levels, aimed at ensuring conditions of equality, equity and guaranteeing fundamental rights to LGBTQIA+ people; propose strategies for the evaluation and monitoring of government actions aimed at LGBTQIA+ people; monitor the preparation and execution of the Union's budget proposal, with the possibility of presenting recommendations regarding the allocation of resources, with a view to promoting and defending the rights of LGBTQIA+ people; legislative propositions that have implications for LGBTQIA+ people and present recommendations on said propositions; promote debates and research on the theme of rights and inclusion of LGBTQIA+ people; support campaigns aimed at promoting and defending rights and public policies for LGBTQIA+ people; organize the National LGBTQIA+ Conference and other nationwide events with an impact on LGBTQIA+ people; maintain exchanges at national and international entities, with a view to establishing common action strategies for the promotion and defense of rights and public policies in favor of LGBTQIA+ people, etc.
