Résumé This Decree provides for the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Climate Change (CIM). It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Committee, aimed at establishing guidelines, articulating and coordinating the implementation of public actions and policies in the country related to climate change. In particular, the CIM aims to perform the following activities: define the guidelines for the Brazilian Government's action in policies related to climate change; coordinate the policies of federal agencies that impact, directly or indirectly, on national emissions of greenhouse gases and on the country's capacity to adapt to the effects of climate change; deliberate on the Country's strategies for the elaboration, implementation, financing, monitoring, evaluation and updating of policies, plans and actions related to climate change, including the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) within the scope the Paris Agreement, promulgated by Decree No. 9.073 of 5 June 2017; monitor the execution of the NDC presented by the Country in the context of the Paris Agreement, in compliance with the decisions of the UNFCCC; propose updates to the National Policy on Climate Change (PNMC); establish guidelines and develop proposals for economic and financial mechanisms to be adopted to enable the implementation of the strategies that integrate the policies related to climate change, with the purpose of promoting the efficiency and effectiveness of the application of resources and maximizing the benefits and results of the policy; etc. Texte intégral Portugais Site web www.plantalto.gov.br Références - Législation Abrogé par Decree No. 10.845 providing for the Interministerial Committee on Climate Change and Green Growth.
