Decree No. 1 of 2004 on determining the types of pesticides permitted for circulation and registration.

This Decree is composed of 7 articles and 2 annexes. Article 1 prohibits the import or trading of agricultural pesticides unless it is registered in the General Directorate for Plant Protection and Quarantine. All pesticides mentioned in Annex one are registered and may be imported and traded (Art.2). All pesticides mentioned in Annex 2 are registered but no import or trade is allowed except in accordance with some conditions (Article 3). This Decree is a temporary one while the procedures and conditions of registration of pesticides are organized (Art.4). Any violation to the provisions of this Decree shall be penalized as prescribed in the Agricultural Law (Art.6).
